Ras only kind of flushes at that, thankfully he has excellent control over that kind of thing thanks to training, training, and more training. However, it also means that you might get that death glare directed at you a little bit there while Ras pulls himself together a little more.]
I don't usually have much reason to not be glaring on this ship.[ He straightens a little, an almost amused curl to his lips. ] So, co-piloting. Could you walk me through what this entails? Because, well, as tolerable as you are I don't really feel like letting just anyone take over my body.
[ In fact, if there is any indicator that he won't have the final say in all the things, this is a no go. Really, considering what secrets he is trying to keep it should be a no go right away, but he is a little sleep deprived and a little soft despite the airs he puts on. ]
[he'll wait, and pretend that he notices nothing. and siri doesn't - for the most part.]
Naturally. It's - well it's kind of like - and then you -
[there are hand gestures here. they look only slightly sexual.]
And then pop! I'm in!
[ras doesn't look very convinced. why doesn't ras look convinced.
okay, think like ras.]
Your extremities might feel cold, but other than that... I can't control what you do - I don't think. I've never tried. I think it's more like I can experience what you experience, and you gain an instinct for what I want to experience. And together we make it work.
[ The more Siri tries to 'show' Ras, the more skeptical he looks. Because this? This sounds like an elaborate prank thought up by some of the crew and yeah, he kind of expects you to yell 'kidding!' any second now.
Until it makes sense. Or at least more sense than it did a few moments ago.
Ras narrows his eyes, just a little. Like that might be able to give him the answer as to whether or not you are lying.]
So you have no control over my limbs. Any cerebral symptoms?
[ You said he will gain an instinct, does it go two ways?]
And how long does it last? Until you decide or...?
[ Ras snorts a laugh at that despite everything. He really does enjoy you, Siri.]
Can you rummage around in my brain. You said I would get impulses from you, does it go both ways.
[ Not that he is worried about what impulses you might get from him, most of them are pretty chill. Though, maybe Siri would be started by the sheer amount of emotional things that rattled around his brain on the regular that he never showed. He raises a brow (higher still, he's gonna lose that soon) when Siri mentioned the eject button.
Like he isn't really sure.]
Probably have an eject button. But do you have an eject button?
[genuine question here, not an insult. don't make your brain sound too enticing, he might not be able to resist.
except he actually could resist, and would, if what ras is worried about is even possible at all. but siri was a person before he was a pirate, and a person who had standards.
some, anyway.]
Don't worry, I can't do that. [he holds up three fingers in some sort of star scout's promise. the question about siri's button earns a surprised laugh.] Why would I need one?
[the laugh becomes a smile, sad around the edges.]
What could you possibly do to me? I'm already dead, Ras.
[ Ras is-- not going to answer that question, because while his brain isn't the most interesting thing in the world, he really doesn't want anyone else knowing who he is than he has to. Which means himself and the Captain.
So Siri just gets a shrug, noncommittal and probably all the more enticing. ]
I don't think you would want to be trapped in someone's head and body without your consent Siri. Sure you might agree to it at first, I just want to make sure that you can get out if you need to get out.
[ Just because you have no corporeal form, doesn't mean you are suddenly without consideration from Ras. The strategist furrows his brows at that, leaning in a little.]
I wouldn't want to do anything to you, Siri, which is why I was asking. I don't want you to feel trapped in some way. None of what you would do makes sense to me, I don't know how it works, but I also want to make sure that you have your fail safes too.

I don't know. Whenever what I'm trying to experience is over? I think you probably have an eject button if you really need it.
[he doesn't say that he tries to not get too comfortable. it just makes him feel worse later.]
